Cathryn Stone is a singer, songwriter, musician and teacher
After years performing as a street musician and at small venues with various bands, her first EP of original music was recorded at the Metway in Brighton UK, and soon after, she began touring live, playing in venues, festivals and private events, both as a solo artist, and with her band.
Alongside Mike Wood and James Lindsay (The Flews) her album, White Sun Dark Moon has some memorable guest appearances by Dave Whitford (Bass - also heard with Bobby Wellins/Liam Noble/Christine Tobin) Rachael Wood (Guitar - also heard with Amy WInehouse/Katie Melua) and Dil Davies (Drums - also heard with The Oysterband).
These days, you’ll more often find her in the recording studio and intimate venues than a big stage, and sharing her joy of music and songwriting with students of all ages.
Cathryn’s music is available on all the major platforms for download and streaming. Her new album “Mountain” is due for release 2023.

“Cathryn’s confidence built a rapport with the audience straight away, her unique voice telling stories of restless traveling. The atmosphere was great, the venue packed to the rafters, and far too small for the fab talent oozing out of these two acts.”

"She not only writes fine songs, but has a voice to deliver them in a style that isn’t just a clone of something(body) you heard before, but one that has a depth and an edge that is so often missing. There’s something a bit special there...I heard it the first time I saw her."
